Group Life encompasses all adult ministry at St. Mark's Church. It serves as the "Front Door" for any adult desiring to connect beyond the weekend.

God designed all of us with a desire "to belong" somewhere, to be relationally connected to others in what the Bible describes as biblical community. Around St. Mark's, we understand that desire to belong and we purposely strive to provide meaningful opportunities where you can slow down and connect with others. In the community of a group, people learn together about God through the study of Scripture, and they understand more about who He is as they see Him at work in other people's lives. They learn things that God has taught others, and they learn about themselves and others.

The target for spiritual formation at St. Mark's is Christ-centered living. Our vision for the Group Life ministry is that groups would be where spiritual formation happens ... that they would be environments where people grow toward Christ-centered living as they learn biblical truth in the context of caring relationships.

While we have a variety of groups, each one is committed to embracing the Group Life values of Love, Learn, Serve and Reach. These common values unite the groups, help them stay connected to the mission and vision of St. Mark's and help to ensure an environment for spiritual formation. Each group is unique, however, in the way they reflect the ministry values depending on the type of group and personality of its members.
