E-Z Serve

It's important to us that you find a way to use your gifts, passions and abilities as a volunteer because serving is a catalyst for spiritual growth. We have listed here some Easy Serve Opportunities. These are easy ways to connect as a volunteer at St Mark's to see which ministry area might be a good fit. Once you try it, you can think about taking the next step. If you realize it's not for you, then we will try to help you find your fit in another ministry.

Facilities & Grounds
This ministry area involves the upkeep, maintenance and appearance of the building/facility and surrounding grounds areas. Trash must be collected during all service times as well as during any large group events. This includes inspections of our restrooms before and following our weekend services. We work hard to keep our parking area clean and the lawn must be trimmed, with seasonal flowers and plants in their best condition and all areas weeded.

Hospitality Ministry
Involves those serving and preparing food and drinks for any event sponsored by St. Mark’s Church. Volunteers are needed to prepare coffee/refreshments for all Sunday services and other special events.

Greeting/Parking/Hosts/Ushers
Includes parking attendants, greeters, directional guides (both inside and outside our facilities), medical assistants, and hosts serving in the Information Center.Inside the Worship Center ushers are available to pass out programs, greet worshipers as they arrive, help guests find appropriate seats for the service, assist the pastors and worship leaders as needed, and be prepared to intervene in the event of emergency.

Hospitality Helper for Apples for Eastlawn:
St. Mark’s has volunteered to provide snacks to the teacher’s lounge periodically at Eastlawn as part of our Apples for Eastlawn project. This is separate from the individual teacher adoption. Need people to donate snacks and/or deliver them to Eastlawn.

Special Events Team
This team of volunteers is in need of help from people with the gift of hospitality. Duties include: help serve food (no cooking involved); set up and/or clean up after special events.
