The resources in this section can help you grow in your understanding of the importance of serving and giving to support ministry.

STARTING OUT

  • Nooma DVD: Sunday – This 10 minute DVD and discussion book will help your small group answer the question “Why do we attend church, tithe, or give our time?”

  • The Generosity Factor – In this book by Ken Blanchard and Truett Cathy, journey to discover the joy of giving and the impact which generosity can have on your life.

  • What You Do Best in the Body of Christ – In this book by Bruce Bugbee, learn about God’s design for the church and your place within His plan. You will find that you serve with greater enthusiasm and effectiveness.

MAKING PROGRESS
  • Spiritual Gifts-Network to Serve – This 6 week class will help you find your place of service as you discover your spiritual gifts, passion and unique personal style in a discussion-based class.

  • Serving Like Christ Together – Group study on service from the Experiencing Christ Together Series.

  • Financial Peace University is a life-changing program instructed by financial consultant Dave Ramsey that teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money. You'll be empowered with the practical skills and confidence needed to achieve your financial goals and experience true financial peace.

  • Serve on a St. Mark’s Ministry Team or in a community agency.

MOVING AHEAD
  • Give a tithe (or 10%) of your income to support St. Mark’s ministries.

  • Serve on or support financially a short-term missions team or global relief organization.
