Small Groups

If you’ve been around St. Mark’s for any length of time, you’ve probably discovered that we place a really high value on people being connected in group life. But if you’re new to the church or not participating in a small group, you might be asking yourself, “What’s the big deal?" Well, as a St. Mark’s continues to grow larger, small groups become the best way to ensure that you have the opportunity to get connected in a friendship environment where you can know and be known, love and be loved.

Ask someone in a small group what they get out of it and they often will tell you that most of their deepest friendships and life change experiences happen in group life.

“Christian community is not an ideal we must realize; it is rather a reality, created by God in Christ, in which we may participate.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer

New groups are forming all the time. Please contact us at the Small Groups Ministry for more information about getting connected in a small group.

There are also existing small groups looking to add members. For a current listing of these groups click here.

Why Small Groups?

Why Small Groups?
At St. Mark’s, we believe that the small group environment is the best place where relational connection and change occurs in a person’s life. Small Groups are where real life and real issues are discussed. This is the environment where we celebrate the successes and good times of life, as well as comfort one another during the tough and disappointing times. It is a place where you are encouraged to investigate the claims Jesus made about himself and discover what it means to become a fully developing follower of Christ.
